Regardless of gender, ethnicity, social status, religion, or political ideology, one truth remains – we are all going to die. Death is the unavoidable destiny in the human struggle, and the great equaliser of all. Contemplating the end of our individual journeys may seem morbid, but it is the one inescapable truth we all share. We are simultaneously fascinated by and afraid of what lies beyond. Our obsession with death is a complex phenomenon, rooted in a mix of existential reflection, psychological factors, and cultural traditions. While fear and anxiety about our own mortality are common, this fascination also becomes a yearning to understand death, unravel its mysteries, and find meaning in life by facing it. This exhibition does not seek to glorify death, but rather to prompt reflection on life. Death humbles us. The afterlife intrigues us. It makes us kinder, more empathetic, and perhaps most importantly – equal – even if only for a moment.
