Classical pianist Pieter Grobler has won various prizes and obtained a doctorate degree from the sought-after University of North Texas under the direction of Joseph Banowetz. Pieter Grobler has performed extensively in the USA, China and is a respected chamber musician and piano professor at the University of Stellenbosch. He was raised in Pretoria and returns to his alma mater to perform a solo piano recital at Afrikaans Hoër Seunskool. This programme includes Beethoven’s much-loved Waldstein Sonata and virtuoso works by Medtner and CPE Bach. High intensity playing and ultimate musicianship defines the characteristics of this esteemed South African artist.
